Authentic Gordon Nichols mid-century modern, reimagined by architect Cliff Welch, awaits its final touches. High level finished museum walls, an extensive Lutron lighting system, impressive, vaulted ceilings accentuated by formidable iron beams, and a beautiful walnut appointed kitchen are but a few of the features in this house! A slightly sunken living room introduces the house, it surveys a nice courtyard entry, secured by an architectural Ipe wood screen. Commercial grade windows and doors create virtual walls of glass throughout while eight skylights participate in allowing an abundance of natural light throughout the house. The casual Living Area shares an open space with the Dining Room; the original 1954 fireplace wall anchors this area and is truly a spectacle to admire. Distinction continues into Kitchen which flows effortlessly form the living areas; walnut cabinetry and white quartz counter surfaces create a nice contrast while contributing to its sophistication. The Thermador culinary appliance package includes a dishwasher, convection electric cooktop, a built-in microwave multipurpose convection oven, and wine storage for up to 64 bottles! A stacked washer dryer area is cleverly concealed within the pantry. The Thermador refrigerator freezer completes this package. A tankless water heater provides near instant hot water to the kitchen and baths. The Primary Suite occupies the south section of the single-story home. Generous in proportion, two former bedrooms were combined to form this expansive suite. The ensuite bath features an attractive shower with seamless glass, twin sinks and a private water closet. An Asian inspired screen sequesters the bath. Walnut wardrobes provide nice clothing storage in both bath and bedroom. Three of the skylights illuminate the suite, which surveys the back lawn, heated lagoon surfaced swimming pool and pavilion, perfect for outdoor lounging. This view is partially shared by the Kitchen and Dining Room.
